Four steps to becoming a professional pilot
1. Call our office at 330-733-2500.
Our office is open seven days a week with staff ready to answer your questions about American Winds' Academic Programs. You may request an information packet or schedule time to meet with our Admissions Coordinator or one of our Certified Flight Instructors.
2. Meet with one of our Certified Flight Instructors.
This is your chance to meet one-on-one with a flight instructor and tour the facility. All of our instructors are very knowledgeable in the field of aviation and have completed all of the FAA standardized testing. Most instructors are full-time, ensuring you have the ability to fly and receive instruction often. Our instructors are happy to share their experiences as career pilots and can answer any additional questions you may have.
While in the office, it is also a good time to speak with our Admissions Coordinator about the program enrollment process, academic program details, tuition and fees, and financial aid.
3. Take a Discovery Flight.
We would love to get you in the aircraft to discover the experience of being a pilot with one of our FAA-Certified Flight Instructors. Call us any time to schedule your 30- or 60-minute flight. You also have the option to add a 30-minute session on our simulator.
4. Sign up!
After you have decided to officially take this significant step of becoming a career pilot, we will work with you to complete all the necessary paperwork. We require all incoming students to review and sign an enrollment agreement. If you would like financial assistance, we are more than happy to help you complete the necessary paperwork as well. Now you are ready to begin the next chapter of your life and train to become a career pilot.
